2016 Annual Meeting: Concessioners in National Parks in 2016 and Beyond

Concessioners in National Parks in 2016 and Beyond allowed national park concessioners, the NPS and others to agree on strategies to make 2016 successful in attracting and serving well all park visitors. Sessions included:  

  • Indepth conversations with NPS Commercial Services Team

  • Discussions with the U.S. General Accountability Office NPS Study Team

  • Discussions with Key Members of Congress and staff

  • Discussions of Association Goals and Priorities

Details: Our meeting began on Monday, March 14 with a reception overlooking the Potomac River and downtown Washington. Formal meetings began Tuesday morning with the NPHA annual meeting and election of Board members, with afternoon sessions including a discussion with key NPS officials.  Dinner that evening was attended by key NPHA friends including Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA).  Wednesday included a legal issues session, sessions on pending legislation and more. Wednesday evening will include a dinner with special guests focusing on 2016 federal elections at NPHA Member Property Indigo Landing.  Thursday’s half-day session was an action session for key NPHA members.
